Magic is generally categorized by its source, which dictates how a character interacts with magic:

• Spellcasting: Spellcasting is the discipline of channeling raw magical energy through a Focus to shape and direct a specific effect into the world, transforming the caster’s will into a tangible, high-stakes manifestation of power.
• Infusions: An Infusion is a stabilized medium of single-serving magic, binding a single, potent spell effect into a portable form that can be reliably triggered without the need for a focus.
• Vessels: A Vessel is a physical object — ranging from a simple glass vial to a complex talisman — that has been permanently or temporarily endowed with a specific charge of spell energy, allowing the magic to be stored safely and released on demand.
